DB Rental: Cinema gear e-commerce for crews who book by the day, not the box.

Client: DB Studio Africa. Role: E-commerce UI/UX, frontend engineering. Year: 2026.

DB Rental is an equipment rental and sales storefront for Nairobi’s film industry, covering cameras, lenses and lighting from ARRI, Sony, RED, Canon and more.

Challenge: A dense professional gear catalogue needed clear search, filtering and day-rate pricing so crews could find and book the right equipment without friction.

Approach: I overhauled the interface around search-first discovery and intuitive filtering, with day-rate pricing visible on every card and a "most rented" rail surfacing what crews actually book, aligning a premium visual standard with the booking and inventory flow underneath.

Outcome: A responsive, highly-converting storefront serving professional filmmakers and production teams across East Africa.
